Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) is an anionic detergent used to solubilize and denature proteins in protein extraction and SDS-PAGE gel electrophoresis; also used in a wide range of hybridization and molecular biology applications. SDS (20% Solution) is effective in both ionic and anionic conditions.
Applications:Suitable for electrophoresis, protein and nucleic acid purification, cell disruption, prehybridization, and hybridization solutions, and biochemical applications requiring high purity SDS.
